Who We Are
Teen Alert Program, or TAP808, is a program of the Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC). Our mission is to promote and celebrate healthy relationships for all ages, and to tap out teen dating violence through prevention education, individual advocacy, and social change.
We center our work around building a movement where Hawaii's youth feel safe, empowered, and dignified in making decisions on who and how they love. We are an inclusive program that believes all humans should be treated equally regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, class, culture, ability, etc.
What We Do
TAP808 provides outreach education and workshops about teen dating violence, healthy relationships, and community intervention strategies. TAP808 also provides individualized advocacy support for teens and young adults experiencing dating violence.
We serve anyone in Hawai'i between the ages of 12 and 21, who is experiencing, at risk for, or has been affected by dating violence.
Meet the Team
Jordan Addison (he/him)
TAP808 Supervisor
Jordan is an educator, creator, and advocate. He graduated from Radford University in Southwest Virginia with a degree in Education, and taught high school English courses in rural Alaska, Illinois, and Hawai’i before moving to the Domestic Violence Action Center in 2023. A survivor of domestic violence, Jordan is passionate about providing prevention and response to teens in similar situations. In his free time, you’ll find him reading, working on his vintage motorcycle, and spending time with his fiancée, Alex, and their tiny dog, Manapua.
Michael Robison (he/him)
Teen Outreach Advocate
My name is Michael. I've had amazing opportunities to live in Taiwan, Brazil, and now Hawaii. I'm originally from New York, but left when I was 18, and have been traveling since. I love music, playing guitar, skating, and learning about the world around me. I graduated from The University at Buffalo in Sociology and hope to take the knowledge I've gained over the years, to help people reach their goals.
