Safety Planning
What is a safety plan?
A safety plan is a personalized plan for an individual to remain safe whether they are currently in an abusive relationship, attempting to leave it, or have already left.
The process of safety planning involves thinking about the various aspects of ones’ life and how to feel and remain safe no matter where you are or what you are doing. Some examples include at school, at home, at work, and on social media.
Work with a Teen Advocate to discuss safety concerns and work through a variety of scenarios in order to become empowered to remain safe.
Family and friends who are concerned about the safety of someone else are welcome to reach out to an advocate for tips and advice to help a loved one safety plan.
